The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Finally Gets a Price Tag for All Its Performance

Hyundai confirms that the performance flagship EV can be had for under $70,000, hopefully.
We're almost convinced that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N was designed in a specific attempt to try and win over doubters who don't believe that an EV can provide the same driving excitement as a roaring V-8 or a high-strung V-6. Sure, it still tries to emulate many of the visceral sensations that come from driving an ICE vehicle like simulated engine sounds and even simulated shifting. However, the end result of the experience had us walking away with a grin.
The Ioniq 5 N uses several software tricks like its "N Drift Optimizer" and "N Torque Distribution," but despite all lines of code to make those features possible, it's still rubber meeting road when it's all said and done. Throw in the fact that the Ioniq 5 N is starting from an award winning foundation and you have the recipe for a vehicle that can handle daily duties but also provide an exceptional driving experience on demand.
The only question that remained was how much it would cost. Sometimes value is taken for granted when considering a vehicle's overall appeal, but that's not something we take lightly. With that being said, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N will set you back $67,475 according to an official statement from the automaker. That's 641 horsepower for less than $70,000.
Though, to be fair, that horsepower figure is only available for temporary bursts when using the "N Grin Boost" feature—yet another one of the Ioniq 5 N's neat software tricks. When not in use, the dual electric motors combine for a total of 601 horsepower which is still more roughly 100 more horses than a base Corvette Stingray but with more passenger room and roughly $1,000 less.
Though, dealer markups on the Ioniq 5 N could gum up the works in terms of value. Especially if it turns out to be a low-volume vehicle, which is likely. If the demand for the potent electric SUV is high, then expect a hefty ADM on the window sticker when shopping the Ioniq 5 N on the lot. Hopefully, shenanigans are kept to a minimum for those who are in the market. This is probably the most exciting EV to drive available for the road, so we hope demand is high.
